UK Threat Level

Threat levels are designed to give a broad indication of the likelihood of a terrorist attack.

SUBSTANTIAL – An attack is likely

The main threats to national security are terrorism, espionage, cyber threats and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, many of which impact on the UK’s national infrastructure.

Understanding the threat facing us is key to ensuring protective security measures and mitigations are proportionate, effective and responsive.

ACT Awareness & Security e-Learning

Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) e-Learning is specialised training for front line security operatives. This free course was designed by government counter-terrorism experts from the National Counter Terrorism Security Office and National Protective Security Authority. The custom-built training will provide up-to date counter-terrorism knowledge to help operatives prevent, prepare for, and respond to, terrorist incidents and terrorist attacks whilst on duty.

You are required to register to complete online learning courses. This will allow you to save your progress, access certificates and continue the course where you left off. Certificates can be accessed via your user profile once you have completed the course.

You will need to complete both the Awareness (Blue) and Security (Red) courses in order to do your SIA course.
